DISTOPIA explores the idea of alternative realities through architectural projection mapping, transforming existing buildings into temporary visions of imagined worlds. Rather than illustrating a specific narrative, the project presents a sequence of parallel visual scenarios, using architecture as a canvas to explore shifting perceptions of space and form.
Facades are digitally reconfigured through geometry, depth and motion, appearing to shift, vibrate and disintegrate. The urban surface becomes an active element of the work, where space is reshaped and perception is continuously challenged.
The audiovisual composition unfolds as a fast-paced 3D mapping installation, driven by a crescendo of visual transformations synchronized with Utopia Overture by Cristobal Tapia de Veer. Image and sound operate in close dialogue, creating a synesthetic experience in which rhythm, structure and light redefine the architectural form.
